How to play Prism Tide
- Connect five or more gems of one colour touching along their sides. Matching groups disappear; falling gems can create cascades that multiply your points.
- Steer a horizontal ribbon of three with Left/Right or A/D. Cycle its colours with Up, W, or X. Space or Enter drops; Down or S nudges it down. P pauses or resumes; Escape pauses.
- Touch: swipe sideways on the board to move, tap to cycle colours, and swipe down to drop. You can also use the four buttons beneath the board.
- Each gem sinks into its own column when dropped. The outlined gems show where your ribbon will land.
- Every sixth drop brings a tide: each row shifts toward the indicated side, then gems settle down again. Tides alternate left and right. Watch the countdown and plan your next cascade.
- Flow adds falling gems and increases the pace as you score. Stillwater has no timer and waits for you to drop. The round ends if any settled gem remains in the highlighted top row after clears and tides finish.
- Pause to finish a round early. Best scores and your five best completed rounds per mode save in this browser. Sound and mode preferences also save. The current board is not saved after leaving or reloading.

Prism Tide tips
- Look at the landing outlines, not just the falling ribbon. Each gem can land at a different height.
- Cycle colours before dropping. Connecting an existing pair to three new gems is enough for your first clear.
- A tide packs rows sideways before gems sink. It can join scattered colours; save useful groups for the next shift.
- Keep your tallest columns below the highlighted top row. Any settled gem left there after a drop resolves ends the round.
- Large groups earn extra points. Each successive clear in the same drop multiplies points, including clears after a tide. Empty the board for a 500-point Clear waters bonus.
- Start with Stillwater to learn how tides move your gems. Flow uses the same rules with a little time pressure.
Questions about Prism Tide
What makes Prism Tide different?
Prism Tide uses a square board, horizontal ribbons of three coloured gems, connected groups of five, and alternating sideways tides every six drops. Gems settle separately, and cascades reward planning around the current.
Can I play without a timer?
Yes. Choose Stillwater before a round. Gems wait until you drop them; tides still happen every six drops. Flow adds timed falling and gradually speeds up as your score grows.
Does Prism Tide save my scores?
Your best score and five best completed rounds save separately for Flow and Stillwater in this browser when storage is available. You can finish a round through the pause screen. Scores do not sync between devices, and clearing browser data removes them.
Can I play without sound or without relying on colour?
Sound can be muted with the Sound button during play. Every gem colour also has its own symbol: diamond, circle, star, or wave. Essential information uses text and static indicators, and reduced-motion preferences are respected.
Can I play Prism Tide offline?
Yes, after loading Webcade online and waiting for “Ready for offline play”. The arcade must finish downloading its assets before offline play is available.
