How to play Pocket Links
- Drag back from anywhere on the course and release to putt. The ball goes the opposite way to your drag, and a longer drag hits harder. The dotted guide shows the line to the first wall. Drag back to where you pressed to cancel.
- Keyboard: Left and Right aim (hold Shift for fine aim), Up and Down set power, and Space or Enter putts. U uses a Mulligan, Escape pauses, and 1–3 or S choose in the charm draft.
- You may take par plus your spare strokes on each hole. Every stroke over par spends a spare stroke at once. If you run out before the ball drops, the round ends. Water adds a penalty stroke and returns the ball to where you putted from.
- Sinking the ball rates the hole from Hole in one to Double bogey. A birdie wins back 1 spare stroke, an eagle 2 and a hole in one 3, up to 7.
- Points come from the rating, 50 for each star, and Bank shot and Long putt bonuses, multiplied by your streak. Each hole at par or better raises the multiplier by 0.2 up to ×2.0; a bogey resets it.
- After each hole, pick one of three charms or skip for a spare stroke. You can hold five. After every third (Signature) hole, one offer is always rare.
- Tour is endless: every three holes form a course, Garden, Dunes, Frost then Neon, and the holes keep getting harder. Daily Nine gives everyone the same nine holes and charm offers each day. Your round saves after every stroke and draft choice.
Pocket Links tips
- Read the whole hole before you putt. Par comes from a solver that played it first, so there is always a clean route, and it is often not the obvious one.
- Rough and sand slow the ball sharply and ice barely slows it at all. On ice, a soft putt goes a long way.
- Stars sit in risky spots. A star is worth 50 points before the multiplier, but a bogey resets your streak, so take them when the line is safe.
- Skipping a draft for a spare stroke is a good trade when you are down to your last spares or your hand is already strong.
Questions about Pocket Links
Is every hole really new?
Yes. Each hole is generated from a seed, then a solver plays it to make sure it can be sunk and to set its par. A Tour uses a fresh random seed; the Daily Nine uses the date, so everyone gets the same holes that day.
What happens when I run out of spare strokes?
You can always take par plus your spare strokes. If the ball has not dropped when the last allowed stroke comes to rest, the round ends. Birdies, eagles and skipped drafts win spare strokes back, and the Second Wind and Mulligan charms can save a round once.
Does Pocket Links save my round?
Yes. Your round saves in this browser after every stroke and every draft choice; continue from the title screen. Best Tour score, furthest hole, best streak and your Daily Nine results stay on this device. Clearing site data removes them.
Can I play Pocket Links offline?
Yes, after loading Webcade online and waiting for “Ready for offline play”. The arcade must finish downloading its assets before offline play is available.
